Darts
The George and Dragon is currently home to a Friday night Darts team, but room is also available on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. If you're interested in coming along for a game, joining a team or starting a whole new one from scratch then drop down and let us know, we'll be happy to help!
Friday nights - Open The Box
Every Friday night at 8:15 we draw our renowned Open The Box game.
So far handing out thousands of pounds in prizesincluding £1920 to one very lucky winner, Open The Box is becoming more and more popular!
It's nice and easy. You pay £1 and get a strip of tickets. If you win the raffle you get your chance to open the box! We start with 12 keys, if your key opens the box you win the money. If it doesn't we roll-over the prize and keep the key out, so the next week there's one less key!
It's got to be won sooner or later, and in the meantime you'll be helping HELP for HEROES which in anyone's book is a worthy cause!
Thursday nights - Quiz Night
Why not join us for our relaxed and informal "silent quiz"?
Each Thursday from around 8 we run our quiz. There's no need to be too punctual though as our relaxed quiz lets you take your time and work through it at your own pace.
The winner gets a gallon of beer or a couple of bottles of wine and its only £1 per person!
It's got to be worth a try.
