We believe in the great British Pub, it is a slice of our heritage which we are very proud to be a part of. My Wife and I work very hard along with the rest of our Rising Sun family to provide our customers with great pub food and good real ales all served in a warm friendly enviroment. We do offer a word of warning to anyone visiting our pub, we don't deal in fast food like some large pub chains, all our food is freshly prepared and good food takes time, as we like to say ' We don't do fast food but we do good food as fast as we can'. So if you want to step off the merry-go-round and enjoy a relaxing evening in a great British pub The Rising Sun is the place for you.

Martin joined the team from the begining in 2007 and is the Son In Law of Wade and Colleen after marrying their daughter Jessica (Manager of the Rising Sun) in 2011. Martin was trained at Clough Hall Technology Collage in it's award winning Fith on Fourth Restaurant and left as a fully qualified Chef in 2007. Martin is responsible for the orignal recipe for our very popular pie dishes. With his attention to detail he is driven by getting the great British public to move away from the 'microwave meal' pubs of today and taste real homecooked food at it's best.

Greg joined our family in 2008 as our Comis Chef whilst finishing his traing as a chef at Clough Hall. His technical ability,passion and ideas for food have created the perfect partnership in our kitchen and quickly advanced him to the position of Head Chef.
