Regular Events:
Afternoon tea
Every Thursday and Friday 2pm until 5pm with a wide choice of teas, coffees, cakes and scones.
We advise booking to avoid disappointment.
Darts teams
We currently have one darts team, the reigning champions for the last two seasons and we welcome any supporters and spectators. We would love to have a second team, so if your interested please come in for a chat. All games are local and played on a Monday from 8pm.
Football team
The Flyer FC is our Saturday open age football team ran by manager Charlie Cook. If you are looking for a team to join feel free to come training.
We also love to support all local teams and if you have a football team who is looking for somewhere to base themselves we are always happy to help. Although we don't sponsor teams we can help teams to raise money.
Karaoke Saturdays
From 7:30pm every Saturday. Come along and sing your favourite songs, its not a competition, just a laugh, so feel free to come along and join in or watch if thats more your thing. Free cocktail for every singer,
Live Premier League Football
The Tavern is a big Man United and Man City pub, we show all Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carling cup games.
We don't just show club football though, we also show all England games too.
Pool teams
We are lucky enough to have two pool teams, but we always welcome local supporters and spectators and players who wish to join. Our teams play on a Wednesday from 8pm
Quiz night
Starting Sunday the 8th and will be every Sunday from then on from 8pm with a gallon of beer or equivalent (8 drinks) for the winning team.
Sunday Roast £8.00 for adults and £4.00 for children
A great variation of meats and vegetables every Sunday from 12pm all for £8.00 for adults and £4.00 for children.
Texas Hold'em Poker
At The Tavern we hold Texas hold'em tournaments every Monday and Wednesday from 7:30pm.
Free for all players to enter. A great place to learn the game too.
